About hklein01

Me and my husband have 4 child. I am working 24hrs a week and only that amount becuase I am in a LPN program and it is one year but with the homework/clinicals I dont have time to work during the week. I work friday/sat/sun. My husband got hurt at work and required to have surgery on dec 5 of 2007. The workmens comp was fighting this and we had a court date in March, they paid us .80 cents on a dollar of what was owed my husbands lawyer said to take it, of course her got 20% of that. That was enough to get caught up on our house payments, (we have lived here for 14 years). After we recieved this check my husband got one more in the regular amount of $580.00, then the disputed again and we have been struggling to make it . We had a court date set in August but it got postponed no date given. My checks are only 190.00 every 2 weeks. I have been paying what I can for to gas/electric/water/garbage but its not enough. I am not asking for help with my bills but for clothes for my children. I could not afford to buy them any. Both my parents are deceased and I dont have any family left, my husbands family is also struglling and cant help. I feel very bad when I see them leave with jeans that have holes in them and / or to short. I know that they are teased and the school has called me already to bring in new pants because of th holes.Mind you they dont show off any private parts. I told the school, that this is all I have for them and they said he can go home then. I called the school board becuase they are stopping a education becuase of clothing. Its wrong. Anyway I am not asking for money, if I can get any help with clothes I would be very grateful and I know my children would to. I have 4 as I said earlier 1 girl 15, 3 boys ages 13,12,9. My daughter wears size 5 in womens and the boys wear 10slim in boys, the other 2 wear 18 and 18 husky (30x30). New clothes would be great but so would used clothes also. They only pants as they have enough shirts/tops etc. I called the salvation army by y house to see if they could donate some and they told me I could come in and buy them that they are not alot of money. $3.00 is alot of money when you only have 5 cents to your name. I have never done anything like this before and have never been in this position. I currently get food help, and I get no money becuase I do work. I have cut back on everything and got rid of alot of unneccssary things (moives, books, school events, dinner out etc.) I dont have anything else to cut back on. I just dont know where else to turn and I seen this website while searching for used clothes donations. If you can please help, if you are cleaning out your closet or your childrens, I could really use it. Thanks for taking the time to read this, Sincerely Heather

PROM AND TEENS

Being a single parent is especially hard at prom time. When my daughter graduated , there was a dress , transportation issues ( we didn't have a car) , flowers , restaurant  bill , and more. Guess what ? No money . A very special person payed for some of this . The dress we got was from a church 'prom program'. They had a special closet with dresses , and we picked one for free !   Following is a link to more programs like the one that helped us. Thank you for yet another GREAT link Elaine from TSA ! ! ! ( PS They have tuxedos too.)

IN GENERAL :

Try Craigslist , a great source for all kinds of needs , wants , dreams and desires . Hint: find a listing in your area , then click on "free" listed under "For Sale"

http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites.html

Also try    http://www.freecycle.org/ , an organization that I am personally familiar with . Freecycle people share more than clothes . Yes they do share clothing , but in my group , also formula , baby food , food in general , furniture, books , dishes , cameras , computer accessories , and so so much more ! Check it out !
